1. What our material is for

Everything published by BUILD BY SS and CC BY SS is educational material. It is written to help you understand a subject and to practise it. It is a teaching resource, not a substitute for your school, college or teacher, and not a professional service.

2. Accuracy and updates

We prepare our material carefully and correct mistakes when we find them. Even so, syllabi are revised, tools and technologies change, and errors get through. Content reflects our understanding at the time it was produced and may become out of date. Where something matters — an exam requirement, a syllabus point, a version of a tool — please check it against the current official source.

If you spot something wrong, tell us at care@limeshades.com. Corrections from learners are genuinely useful and we act on them.

3. No guarantee of results

We do not promise any particular outcome. Working through our material does not guarantee a pass, a grade, a rank, a place at an institution, a certificate’s recognition by any third party, a job, an income, or the commercial success of anything you build. Results depend on your own effort, your circumstances, and factors outside anyone’s control.

Any example of an outcome, result or project we show is an illustration of what is possible, not a representation of what you should expect.

4. Not professional advice

Our content is general educational information. It is not legal, financial, tax, medical or other professional advice, and should not be relied on as such. Where a decision has real consequences, consult someone qualified to advise on it.

5. Using the material properly

Please use what you learn honestly. Submitting our explanations, code or project work as your own for school, college or examination assessment is likely to breach your institution’s rules on academic honesty, and that is your responsibility, not ours. Learn from the material, then do your own work.

Where a lesson involves building or running something — installing software, publishing a site, handling data — do it on systems you are entitled to use, and take sensible precautions such as backups.
