Privacy Policy

1. Scope of this policy

This policy explains how LIME SHADES handles personal information in connection with limeshades.com, and describes in outline how our platforms handle it.

BUILD BY SS and CC BY SS each publish their own privacy policy. If you hold an account on a platform, that platform’s privacy policy is the one that applies to your account data. This page does not replace it.

2. What this website collects

limeshades.com is an informational website. It has no contact form, no sign-up, no account area and no shop, so we do not ask you for personal details here. Two things still happen automatically when any website is served:

• Server logs. Our hosting provider records the usual technical details of a request — IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and device type — to serve the site, keep it secure and diagnose faults.
• Essential cookies. Cookies needed to deliver and secure the page, and to keep an administrator signed in. We set no advertising cookies.

This website runs no advertising trackers and no analytics tracking. We do not profile your browsing or build an advertising profile of you. Some page assets are requested from outside providers, which is set out in Third-Party Services.

3. What our platforms collect

Where you hold an account on BUILD BY SS or CC BY SS, that platform typically holds the information needed to run the account and the purchase — your name and contact details, your sign-in credentials in protected form, what you have bought and the invoice for it, your progress through the material, questions you ask, and security records such as sign-in events. The precise list, and the reasons for each item, are in that platform’s own privacy policy.

4. Why we use information

• To provide the service you asked for, and to give you access to what you have bought
• To take payment, issue invoices and receipts, and meet our obligations under tax law
• To answer your questions and provide support
• To keep accounts and content secure, and to detect and prevent misuse and fraud
• To meet legal and regulatory requirements

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

5. Who else sees it

We use a small number of outside providers to run the service — hosting, payment processing, video delivery, sign-in and email. They receive only what they need for their part of the job, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. They are named individually in Third-Party Services.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

6. Cookies

A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. This website uses only cookies that are necessary to serve and secure the page and to keep an administrator signed in. Our platforms additionally use cookies to keep you signed in to your account and to hold your cart while you check out.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop a signed-in account from working.

7. How long we keep things

• Account and learning records — while the account is open, and for a reasonable period afterwards
• Invoices, receipts and tax records — for as long as Indian tax law requires them to be kept
• Security and access logs — for a limited period, for security and fraud investigation
• Support correspondence — for as long as needed to deal with the matter and any follow-up

When information is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, and we are not required to keep it, we delete it or reduce it so that it no longer identifies you.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong, incomplete or out of date
• Delete information we no longer need and are not required to keep
• Stop using your details for messages you did not ask for

Write to care@limeshades.com from the email address on the account, or from the address we hold for you, so that we can be confident we are dealing with the right person. We aim to respond within 30 days. There are two honest limits: deleting information the service depends on may end your access to it, and records we are legally required to keep — invoices and tax records in particular — stay for as long as the law says.

9. Correcting or deleting your information

Where a platform gives you an account area, the quickest route is to correct your own details there. Anything you cannot change yourself, including a request to close an account and delete what is not legally required, can be sent to care@limeshades.com.

10. Security

We hold personal information on managed hosting with access limited to those who need it. Passwords are stored only in hashed form and never in readable text. Card and UPI details are handled by our payment gateway and never reach our systems. No system is perfectly secure, but if something goes wrong that affects your information we will act on it and tell the people who need to know.

11. Learners under 18

Our platforms are used by school and college students. Where a learner is under 18, we expect the account and the payment to be in the name of a parent or lawful guardian. Each platform’s own privacy policy sets out how that is handled for that service. limeshades.com itself is an informational website and is not aimed at children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The version on this page is the current one and applies from the date shown below.
